 Reyna Moreno, a New York Labor Department investigator, interviewed an employee of a nail salon in Astoria, Queens, about her hours and pay on August 20, 2015. Since May 2015, the three agencies involved in the inspections on Thursday, along with the Department of Taxation and Finance, have inspected 1,124 salons and issued more than 2,400 violations.
